Central Statistics Office processes 48 million census images with CACI Limited

The Central Statistics Office (CSO), Ireland's national statistical agency, faced the immense challenge of processing millions of census returns with speed, precision, and confidentiality for its 2022 census. This required high-quality form design, a massive temporary workforce expansion, and a robust system to handle over 48 million page images. CACI Limited delivered its Census Processing System (CPS) to meet this need.

CACI implemented an end-to-end solution encompassing infrastructure, data capture, printing, and training. This comprehensive system successfully processed all returns, meeting all contractual milestones and service levels. The CSO confirmed the delivery of high-quality data that supported timely publications. As a result of this success, CACI is again partnered with the CSO for the upcoming 2027 census.
