CACI’s Cygnum Workforce Management and Scheduling Software goes live in May 2020 with CACI

CACI Limited utilized its own FUSION project delivery methodology to manage a major internal upgrade for its Cygnum workforce management and scheduling software. The challenge was to amalgamate various beneficial bespoke developments and compliance updates from different customer projects into a single, standardized new release, Cygnum 2020, which would also include a new mobile app to enhance usability for all users.

The solution involved applying the FUSION methodology's three key phases: shape, create, and utilise. CACI used this process to define the project, manage an agile development and testing cycle supported by QMETRY, and ultimately launch the new release. The results were a successful on-time and on-budget launch in May 2020, which provided enhanced functionality, a common platform for future development, and improved customer support. The project also included a comprehensive internal and external awareness campaign to promote the upgrade.
