British Heart Foundation worked with CACI Limited to better analyse and map its local activity data. The charity wanted to understand where vulnerable groups live across the UK so it could work with local organisations to promote heart health more effectively. CACI Limited’s GIS platform, InSite, was used to support this analysis.

Using CACI Limited’s InSite, BHF could import, analyse and map its own data, with Acorn and Wellbeing Acorn helping identify health-disadvantaged and vulnerable communities. The results gave BHF detailed insight into local activity, supported defibrillator planning, and strengthened discussions with stakeholders and partners. The analysis also helped identify communities with high smoking prevalence and towns where fundraising could be expanded.
