Case Study: RegattaCentral achieves on-demand global scalability and faster site performance with CacheFly

A CacheFly Case Study

Preview of the RegattaCentral Case Study

Regatta Scales On Demand to High Traffic Worldwide

RegattaCentral, a Columbus-based provider of registration and IT solutions for the global rowing community, serves tens of thousands of visitors and supports over 350 regattas and 2,000 clubs annually. When big races drove traffic spikes (as high as 90,000 visitors from 30+ countries), their dedicated servers struggled to deliver user-uploaded and club-managed content quickly, so they needed a scalable, high-throughput CDN to improve perceived responsiveness.

They moved static and user-pushed files to CacheFly’s worldwide CDN (via simple SFTP), giving on-demand bandwidth and global endpoints that scale seamlessly with surges. Implementation was smooth, support responsive, and members can now access and register without delays; CacheFly’s throughput met RegattaCentral’s needs and exceeded expectations.
