Eversource, one of New England’s largest utility systems serving 3.6 million customers across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, needed a common customer engagement platform to unify data across its operating utilities and deliver more personalized, efficient energy-saving experiences. To address this challenge, Eversource selected C3.ai and its C3 AI Suite, including C3.ai Customer Engagement Applications™, to improve transparency, simplify self-service, and provide targeted energy-efficiency insights to residential and commercial customers.

C3.ai implemented a platform that integrated 12 disparate source systems into a single federated data image, enabling Eversource to segment customers, analyze energy trends, and deliver tailored recommendations and rebate information through a consistent interface. With C3.ai Customer Engagement and C3.ai Intelligence, Eversource gained cross-utility reporting and actionable insights, helping drive participation in efficiency programs and producing an estimated $150M per year in economic benefit to Eversource and its customers.
