Eversource Energy, New England’s largest utility serving more than 3.6 million customers across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, needed a common customer engagement platform to unify data across six operating utilities and 12 disparate source systems, simplify online and mobile transactions, and deliver personalized energy-efficiency insights and rebate information. To achieve these goals Eversource selected C3 IoT and its C3 IoT Platform along with C3 IoT Customer Engagement Applications.
C3 IoT deployed five C3 IoT Customer Engagement Applications on the C3 IoT Platform (running on AWS), aggregating data from 12 source systems into a single federated view and powering C3 Customer Engagement™ and C3 IoT Intelligence™ dashboards for ad‑hoc reporting and segmentation. The solution gave Eversource a unified interface to all efficiency programs, enabled targeted customer segmentation and personalized recommendations, and produced measurable impact — including 3.3M residential users served, improved program participation and transparency, and an estimated $150M per year economic benefit to Eversource and its customers.
