Engie - Customer Case Study

Engie, the world’s largest power producer, faced a need for enterprise-wide digital transformation across customer service, metering, energy management and maintenance. To build a scalable IoT and analytics foundation, Engie selected the C3 IoT Platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to create a company-wide digital platform and center for IoT excellence.

C3 IoT delivered the platform, helped establish a 30-person center of excellence and a 100-person Digital Factory, and trained over 70 Engie staff (including 20+ data scientists) to build and deploy applications for plant performance, heating/cooling efficiency, energy management and wind-turbine anomaly detection. The solution ingests data from over 1 million connected devices (growing to 5.5M by 2020), supports diverse device interfaces, and is credited with an estimated €1.5 billion in annual economic benefit for Engie.
