The City of Belœil, a fast-growing suburb of Montreal, needed to modernize its municipal governance and improve the efficiency of its service management. The city's new Head of IT, who had prior experience with the vendor, sought a solution to centralize request handling and increase transparency with residents. They chose to implement the C2 IT service management (ITSM) solution to address these challenges.
C2 provided a highly customizable portal and robust workflow automation capabilities. The solution enabled the city to create dozens of specific request forms, drastically reducing processing times; for example, subsidy applications now take just seven minutes. The configuration management database (CMDB) automates recurring tasks, preventing oversights. The implementation has been expanded beyond IT to other departments, with the library processing over 7,400 online loan requests. C2 has been central to the city's goal of lean, efficient, and transparent operations.
