RIT Livability Lab advances 3 assistive technology projects with BZDesign

The RIT Livability Lab collaborates with student interns to develop assistive technology projects. Their challenge was to design and develop functional, user-friendly solutions that address real-world challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. They partnered with the vendor BZDesign for product design and development services.

BZDesign worked alongside the Lab and its partners to successfully develop multiple projects, including the Tappo feeding assistant, Roam mobility walker, and a pediatric stander. These production-ready designs provide practical solutions that empower users and improve their daily lives. The collaboration also provided students with valuable hands-on experience in product design.
