Kodak boosts product launches with BZDesign’s 3D animations and digital press redesign

Kodak partnered with BZDesign to refresh the design of its high-end digital printing presses, including the Prosper Ultra 520 and NEXFINITY models. The challenge was to modernize the equipment's functionality and user interaction while maintaining Kodak's iconic and reliable brand identity, ensuring the new designs enhanced operational ease and ergonomics for operators.

BZDesign implemented a user-centered design process involving concept development, CAD prototyping, and full-scale models to create presses with modular structures, ergonomic platforms, and intuitive functionality. The solution incorporated Kodak's signature yellow color accents and clear viewing panels. The redesigned presses strengthened Kodak's market presence, and the accompanying 3D launch videos created with Big Slide Creative successfully showcased the technology. BZDesign's work resulted in a cohesive product line that influenced other Kodak print products and contributed to the division's success.
