VMware Horizon on WVD enables secure remote working for leading healthcare provider

Bytes Technology worked with HUC, a social enterprise healthcare provider supporting urgent services across several UK regions, as they needed to respond quickly to COVID-19 lockdowns and enable secure remote working for around 1,200 users. HUC was looking for a virtual desktop solution that would let staff access business resources safely while remaining simple for IT to manage and deploy.

Bytes recommended VMware Horizon on Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop in Azure, and supported HUC through configuration and deployment. The solution enabled rapid rollout of Windows 10 and Microsoft 365, strengthened security, and helped HUC maintain business as usual and continue delivering essential health services throughout the pandemic. HUC said the project met their needs, and Bytes and HUC plan to continue working together to further improve security.
