Bytes Technology worked with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, an NHS foundation trust serving a large and diverse population across many sites, to improve control of its Microsoft software estate. With more than 3,000 devices spread across 86 sites, the Trust needed better visibility, reduced compliance risk, and more effective software asset management, supported by Bytes Software Asset Management and related Snow tools.

Bytes Technology implemented a managed software asset management service using Snow Licence Manager and Snow Inventory Manager to audit Microsoft titles, compare usage against purchases, and manage licences through the Bytes Asset Management Service. The Trust gained full control of its Microsoft estate, improved compliance confidence, and was able to reuse under-utilised licences, leading to tighter licence spending, significant cost savings, and time savings that freed staff to focus on higher-value work.
