Willmott Dixon, a leading UK construction company, wanted to replace a third-party on-premise data centre used for backup and disaster recovery as its contract was expiring. Bytes Technology helped Willmott Dixon migrate to Microsoft Azure using a Cloud Solution Provider model, with Cloud Investment Management Services to optimize spend and guidance from New Signature for workload planning and migration support. The move reduced the need to maintain physical servers and rent a data centre, improved productivity and agility for development teams, and delivered significant monthly savings in Azure, with ongoing support to prevent overspending and review additional areas such as SQL.
