A Buxton Case Study
The city of Waxahachie, Texas, faced a challenge in recruiting retail and restaurants, as retailers believed the city's population was too small. To address this, they partnered with the customer analytics firm Buxton to objectively analyze their retail trade area and validate that it was larger than the population within city limits.
Buxton provided Waxahachie with a trusted analysis that confirmed the trade area and generated a retail match list of ideal tenants. By sharing this Buxton data with a developer, the city successfully attracted eight retailers to a new development called Waxahachie Marketplace, spurring significant retail growth and achieving their recruitment goals.
