A Buurst Case Study
IndonesianCloud, an independent Indonesian cloud service provider founded in 2011, delivers managed cloud servers, backup, disaster recovery, CDN, private clouds and related services to customers in media, finance and telecommunications. The company needed a NAS solution for its VMware vCloud offering that would keep data and applications always available, meet strict security and government compliance requirements, maintain high SLAs, and avoid the cost and operational overhead of deploying Windows VMs or physical servers.
IndonesianCloud deployed SoftNAS Cloud, a software-defined Cloud NAS supporting CIFS/SMB, NFS, iSCSI and more, which eliminated the need for dedicated Windows servers, enabled rapid volume/LUN provisioning (about 15 minutes), and allowed seamless, non-disruptive scaling of CIFS storage. The result was faster time-to-market, simplified operations, scalable resources, and reduced long-term costs while delivering secure, high-availability storage to customers.
