Manhattan-based Lightning Capital, a vertically integrated real estate firm focused on small- and mid-sized multifamily properties, needed mobile-first proptech that works seamlessly together to deliver a secure, convenient resident experience. To meet that challenge, Lightning Capital selected ButterflyMX’s smart intercom solution for its Brooklyn project so the front-door system would integrate with the building’s broader tech stack.

ButterflyMX installed its smart intercom at 487 Clinton Avenue and integrated it with Amazon package lockers, unit locks, in-unit smart home devices (lighting and thermostats), and the property management system, enabling smartphone control for residents and streamlined operations for staff. The integrated solution helped Lightning Capital create an impressive, secure entry experience that boosted tenant interest—within weeks the building was drawing attention and signing leases—leading Lightning Capital to continue deploying ButterflyMX in future projects.
