Boston Development Group (BDG), a Massachusetts real estate developer and manager, needed a modern way to secure and manage visitor access at 205 Portland Street, a six-story, 43,000 sq. ft. mixed-use building housing six offices and more than 80 employees. To replace outdated buzzer systems and give tenants confidence about who they were letting in, BDG chose ButterflyMX and its video intercom solution.

ButterflyMX implemented a video intercom and mobile app that lets tenants see and speak with visitors, open doors remotely, and issue single‑use or recurring virtual keys; every unlock captures a time‑ and date‑stamped photo stored for 365 days.
