The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) needed a modern, content-focused website to re-engage members after their five-year-old site suffered from content bloat, outdated tech and a non-responsive design. Butterfly was engaged to perform a complete website rebuild, migration and bespoke modules, using Joomla! as the CMS and adding tools like Sphinx Search, Docman and a Dynamic Content Module to prioritise UX and findability.

Butterfly removed restrictive log-ins, implemented a powerful faceted search (Events, News & Media, Documents, General Topics), created a responsive “broken grid” layout with faculty-specific tagging and delivered a Dynamic Content Module for editorial control. The result: on-page engagement rose 16.88%, bounce rate fell 22.52%, pages per session increased 8.41% and RANZCR secured grants valued at AU$50,000 — outcomes directly attributed to Butterfly’s redesign and functionality improvements.
