Accessible Telecoms, an initiative of the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN), needed to completely overhaul its website to better serve elderly and disabled users. Their challenge was to develop a new user-friendly, intuitive, and accessible platform with a non-negotiable requirement for WCAG 2.2 AA compliance. They partnered with vendor Butterfly to build a modern WordPress CMS solution.

Butterfly engineered a new front-end interface within WordPress to streamline content uploads and implemented a sophisticated, multi-word search functionality. The solution delivered a fully WCAG 2.2 AA compliant website that provides an intuitive experience across all devices. The project was completed in 5 ½ months, with Butterfly investing a final internal cost of $156,242 to ensure the high-quality, future-proof outcome.
