Cisco Systems rolls out BizPlanBuilder for 200 Networking Academies in Sub-Saharan Africa

Cisco Systems faced the challenge of formalizing business planning processes across its global network of Networking Academies, which are often associated with universities. These academies needed to implement strong business practices, particularly for planning and running their operations, with their primary income coming from tuition. To address this, Cisco partnered with vendor Business Power Tools to use a customized version of their BizPlanBuilder product.

Business Power Tools implemented a customized version of BizPlanBuilder that included specialized templates and a financial model designed specifically for a Cisco Academy. This solution enabled each academy to generate consistent and predictable business plans, which allowed Cisco managers to systematically review and offer support. The results included a successful pilot program in Sub-Saharan Africa and a significant reduction in the workload for Cisco personnel.
