Lunar - Customer Case Study

Lunar, a Danish digital banking fintech, needed a cloud-native platform that could support rapid growth, multiple acquisitions, and strict regulatory requirements without creating cloud vendor lock-in. As its teams ran 250+ microservices across nine Kubernetes clusters on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, Lunar also needed a better way to centralize platform services, streamline observability, and connect clusters securely across environments.

Buoyant helped Lunar use Linkerd as a multi-cloud service mesh, with Buoyant Cloud providing visibility across environments. The result was a simpler, zero-trust-friendly communication backbone that supported mTLS, gRPC load balancing, and cluster connectivity while improving developer productivity and auditability. With centralized logs and platform services, Lunar is better prepared for disaster recovery, future mergers and acquisitions, and faster scaling across clouds.
