Salt Security, a cybersecurity vendor protecting APIs across the full lifecycle, needed a way to support its rapidly growing microservices platform on Kubernetes as it moved to gRPC. The team also needed reliable load balancing for gRPC traffic, plus stronger backward compatibility, without risking downtime for a platform that ingests massive volumes of customer API traffic.
