Expel, a security operations company, faced the challenge of expanding its cloud-native infrastructure from Google Cloud Platform to AWS. This multi-cloud expansion required a solution for securing inter-service communication, providing observability, and managing traffic without unsustainable custom tooling. The results included default mTLS encryption for all service-to-service traffic, real-time visibility into service topology via Buoyant Cloud, and standardized metrics.
