Case Study: MBN achieves objective construction progress control with Buildots

Combined LEAN scheduling and AI data reports keep project on its critical path

MBN, a medium-sized construction and real estate company in Germany, needed a better way to keep progress scheduling accurate on its Rhinstrasse 143 residential project. The challenge was managing a highly repetitive five-building, 330-apartment scheme while avoiding errors, omissions, and delays in a LEAN construction workflow. To support this, MBN used Buildots together with koppla, its construction scheduling and production system.

Buildots integrated AI-based 360° site capture with koppla to provide objective progress data and compare on-site conditions against the BIM model. The solution identified 38 relevant errors, including a misplaced drywall issue that could have cost around €7,000 to fix later, and pushed these deficiencies into the schedule for faster action. With Buildots, MBN gained a single source of truth, reduced rework risk, improved communication, and kept the project on track.
