Datastream Connexion, a custom-application provider for federal clients (notably the FoodSHIELD program), faced unreliable, error-prone deployments and strict FISMA-moderate compliance requirements after years of FTP transfers, Ant hooks and manual database updates. As a result, Datastream Connexion formalized release processes, moved to more frequent, stable sprint deployments with continuous fixes, gained transparent audit reports used by USDA/FDA and other agencies (reaching several thousand downstream users), improved compliance and contract renewals, and reduced deployment errors—demonstrating BuildMaster’s measurable impact on stability and governance.
