A Building Engines Case Study
Urban Renaissance Group, a Seattle-based commercial real estate firm managing a 6 million SF portfolio, needed to onboard an additional 2.8 million SF onto a facilities management platform in just three weeks. The key challenges were the accelerated timeframe, migrating and standardizing data from legacy systems, training new users quickly, and setting consistent service targets and preventive maintenance across the new properties.
Building Engines delivered a “Quick Start” deployment with dedicated account support, phased data imports, best-practice configuration (including a Standard Equipment Library and service-level targets), and web plus role-based training led by Urban Renaissance’s chief engineer. The rollout enabled immediate KPI reporting and real-time portfolio visibility, standardized service delivery, lower TCO, improved operational efficiency and occupant satisfaction, and ongoing proactive customer support.
