Habitat for Humanity of Omaha, a long-standing nonprofit serving the Omaha metro since 1984, faced fragmented project management—relying on Excel, phone calls and texts—which caused delays, extended timelines and hindered growth. Seeking a scalable solution, the organization chose Buildertrend’s construction project management platform (including its To-Do list feature) to centralize communication and document management.

Buildertrend was rolled out incrementally—starting with on-site photo uploads and training—and within two years all construction and home-repair workflows ran through the platform. Today about 70% of Habitat for Humanity of Omaha’s 110 employees use Buildertrend daily, enabling standardized processes, real-time tracking and unified communications; the organization is now on track to impact 200+ families this year, with plans to build 56 homes and update 150 more.
