Improving project management with Buildertrend

Building Homes for Heroes (BHH) is a national non-profit that gifts up to 40 mortgage-free homes a year to Veterans wounded in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars (30–35 renovated, five built, plus 10 Veteran-owned homes renovated). The organization needed a more robust scheduling and project-management solution than spreadsheets to coordinate work across two offices and multiple job sites. At the NAHB International Builders’ Show they selected Buildertrend (winning solution: Photo Storage) to improve collaboration and keep better control of project status.

Buildertrend implemented tools such as Daily Logs, the Photo tool and Scheduling to centralize communication, share real-time status across projects, and keep veterans updated with progress photos. As a result, Buildertrend streamlined internal communications so status updates can be shared quickly across simultaneous builds, saved the team significant time on coordination, reduced stress for homeowners by providing visual progress, and has become integral to managing BHH’s dozens of home projects and other organizational functions.
