Todd Whittaker Drywall Inc., a Phoenix-based remodeler known as TWD, faced the challenge of scaling from a drywall subcontractor into a full-service design-build firm while preserving its five-star customer service. To automate processes and maintain client communication across as many as 120 concurrent jobs, TWD adopted Buildertrend and its features, including Schedule, Customer Portal, Payment Processing, Presales tools and Email Marketing.
Using Buildertrend, TWD implemented schedule notifications and a Customer Portal to keep homeowners (including out-of-state clients) informed, Payment Processing that syncs with QuickBooks/Xero to eliminate double entry and enable payments at night and on weekends, and an automated three-part email drip to streamline appointment communications. The Buildertrend solution improved cash flow, reduced payment delays and administrative overhead, scaled sales management beyond Excel spreadsheets, and freed staff time while preserving personal client relationships.
