Netwrix detects 100% of attacks with Bugcrowd

Netwrix, a provider of data and identity security solutions, faced the challenge of testing its products against real-world attack scenarios to see if they could effectively detect and prevent threats to identities and data. To address this, they engaged Bugcrowd to run a Managed Bug Bounty program.

The solution involved using the Bugcrowd Platform, hosted on AWS, to connect Netwrix with ethical hackers who simulated real active directory attacks in a lab environment. This allowed Netwrix to monitor and improve its detection capabilities. As a result, Netwrix increased its threat detection rate from 70% to 90% and eventually achieved a 100% detection rate for attacks from user and IT admin accounts. Bugcrowd enabled Netwrix to ship products faster with a higher bar for accuracy and quality, gaining a significant competitive edge.
