SEEK, Australia’s leading employment marketplace operating across 19 countries, needed a more centralized way to report vulnerabilities and strengthen testing across a growing attack surface. With highly sensitive user data and increasingly complex systems, SEEK turned to Bugcrowd’s platform and community of white hat hackers to launch a managed public bug bounty program.

Bugcrowd helped SEEK start with a limited private scope in 2016, then expand the program as confidence grew before going public in 2019. The approach improved coverage of SEEK’s diverse systems, added another layer of security testing beyond existing controls, and created a scalable vulnerability reporting channel that helped protect the platform’s users and data.
