Code.org Adds a Layer of Always-on Security Testing with Bugcrowd

Code.org, the nonprofit EdTech organization focused on expanding access to computer science, needed a more effective way to protect student and educator data as it released new features. Its previous security programs were costly and only ran one to two times a year, leaving gaps in coverage, so Code.org looked for an “always-on” approach to security testing.

Code.org chose Bugcrowd and its crowdsourced security testing platform to tap a global network of researchers, with managed triage, vulnerability prioritization, and remediation guidance integrated into the SDLC. With Bugcrowd, Code.org added continuous testing, improved its ability to find and process priority vulnerabilities faster, and reduced time to market for new features while easing pressure on internal security resources.
