Colgate University Successfully Utilizes New DLAN Features During Inter-Agency Exercise

Colgate University, working with Buffalo Computer Graphics, used the DLAN emergency management platform to strengthen campus incident response and inter-agency coordination. The university wanted a better way to manage complex emergencies across campus and with external partners, and it tested new capabilities during a full-scale exercise.

Buffalo Computer Graphics implemented DLAN enhancements including the Mobile Responder App and GIS Premium, giving field staff mobile photo sharing, real-time geolocation, and advanced mapping tools. During the exercise, over 100 participants from multiple agencies practiced coordinated response to a simulated residence hall fire, and Colgate reported improved situational awareness, faster communication, and more effective role-based reporting for EOC and executive teams.
