BCG Delivers New Desktop Ship Simulator

Inlandboatmen’s Union needed a way to provide realistic maritime training for its ILWU Marine Division in San Pedro, CA. Buffalo Computer Graphics (BCG) supplied a desktop ship simulation training system built around its Maritime Simulation Tool (MaST) software, along with student stations featuring PCRadar, ECDIS, a conning display, a desktop steering console, and a visual display.

Buffalo Computer Graphics implemented a four-station Desktop Ship Simulator with an instructor station and four independent student stations, allowing trainees to run separate scenarios or interact in a shared environment. The system lets instructors control time of day, traffic, environmental conditions, AIS, and more, while BCG also provided instructor training and a two-year warranty to support ongoing use.
