BCG Delivers Desktop Ship Simulator System

Davis Aerospace & Maritime High School in Cleveland, OH, needed a realistic way to train students in ship operations and navigation. Buffalo Computer Graphics (BCG) partnered with non-profit PHASTAR to provide a desktop ship simulation solution tailored for maritime education.

BCG implemented a two-station Desktop Ship Simulator system with an instructor station running MaST software, plus student stations featuring radar, ECDIS, a virtual steering stand, a desktop steering console, and visual display. The setup lets instructors run joint or separate scenarios and control conditions such as time of day, traffic, weather, and AIS, giving students hands-on vessel operation practice in a high-fidelity environment. BCG also delivered instructor training and a two-year warranty.
