Luna Grill, a Southern California fast-food franchise with 46 restaurants, needed a simple, scalable budgeting solution that worked with their accounting system Compeat. CFO David Schroeder had no budget templates when Budgyt first engaged and needed per-store budgets, monthly Compeat import/export, special user permissions, a 13-period calendar option, and customized P&L/EBITDA presentations for different stakeholders.

Budgyt developed a 13-period version, built a Compeat export/import tool (completed in about two weeks and funded by Budgyt), and added distribution, cloning/copying, Excel linking and permission features so managers could access their specific P&Ls. As a result, Luna Grill now updates Budgyt monthly, Dave manages budgeting across 46 stores with regional manager support, and reporting is faster and tailored to lenders and the Board — delivering measurable time savings and improved budget control.
