Case Study: Evelyn & Walter Haas Jr. Fund (Haasjr) saves 2–3 hours per user per week and automates budget-to-actual reporting with Budgyt

A Budgyt Case Study

Preview of the Haasjr Case Study

Haasjr - Customer Case Study

Haasjr (Evelyn & Walter Haas Jr. Fund), a California nonprofit with 15 QuickBooks users, needed an easier way to share budget‑to‑actual comparisons and track year‑to‑date budget usage. Comptroller Ramona and Staff Accountant Elizabeth were spending hours each week exporting and parsing QuickBooks data into Excel for each user, so they engaged Budgyt to streamline budgeting and reporting.

Budgyt cleaned up the Chart of Accounts, set up class codes in QuickBooks, configured user permissions, and provided custom training plus an automated distribution system that sends Actuals vs. Budget reports as downloadable Excel links. The rollout required several weeks of data organization and a few days of setup and training (2–3 hour setup and 2 hours training per user); as a result Budgyt helped each user save 2–3 hours per week and eliminated manual report generation while improving YTD budget visibility.
