Erl, a 90-employee, two-location custom manufacturing company using Epicor Vantage, needed a standalone budgeting, planning and forecasting solution to replace Excel for divisional and company-wide budgets. CFO Dan Peterworth wanted to produce budget vs. actual variance reports, create multiple budget versions without maintaining many spreadsheets, handle fixed amounts and formula-driven categories, and import historical data; they selected Budgyt for this work.

Budgyt imported two years of period/year history from Epicor Vantage, recreated Erl’s Excel templates in Budgyt, trained users (monthly data import takes about 10 minutes), and built allocation and elimination functions plus a clone feature; the full implementation and training took about one week. As a result, Erl automated allocations and eliminations, eliminated broken-link errors, can rapidly create multiple budget scenarios, and significantly reduced spreadsheet maintenance and monthly processing time thanks to Budgyt.
