Case Study: Storable achieves sustained remote employee engagement and stronger company culture with Bucketlist

A Bucketlist Case Study

Preview of the Storable Case Study

Keeping Remote Workers Engaged through Employee Recognition

Storable, a leading technology provider for the self-storage industry supporting more than 25,000 facilities, faced the sudden challenge of shifting its 300-person workforce to remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic and needed a long-term way to keep employees connected and preserve company culture. Storable expanded its use of Bucketlist’s software—originally adopted for recruitment and perks—into a central rewards and recognition hub to address the loss of day-to-day office interactions.

Working with Bucketlist, Storable repurposed the platform with a dedicated Engagement Specialist, introduced “Storabills” for redeemable rewards, used peer-to-peer recognition, integrated the feed into Slack, and funneled referrals and feedback through the system. The result was measurable: month‑over‑month growth in Bucketlist usage, broad adoption across teams (including contractors), and significantly improved employee engagement—reflected in high scores on Storable’s most recent Employee Engagement Survey.
