Buchanan Delivers Mobile Responsive Sharepoint Solution for Municipality

The City of Mississauga needed to upgrade its SharePoint environment from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013 while refreshing an outdated News Web Part that had been in use for more than five years. The city wanted a vendor that could manage, build, configure, document, and train staff on the updated News Web Part v2.0, while also ensuring compatibility with its broader on-premise SharePoint infrastructure. Buchanan Technologies was selected to support this SharePoint-based intranet initiative.

Buchanan Technologies designed and delivered a clean, mobile-responsive SharePoint 2013 intranet solution with a tile-based layout, hover-over details, and new social features such as views, likes, and sharing, with future compatibility for SharePoint 2016. Buchanan Technologies also provided full documentation, source code, installation/configuration guidance, and training for the city’s technical staff. As a result, the City of Mississauga received an updated, user-friendly intranet that improves delivery of corporate and departmental news and has been well received by staff for its look and ease of use.
