UCL Med School needed a modern, web-based replacement for its dated Microsoft Access system, but off-the-shelf education products and traditional custom development both fell short for the unique requirements of medical education. Bubble Group was brought in as the no-code platform that would let Taylor Bennie, head of MBBS digital education at UCL Medical School, build a solution without a deep development background.

Using Bubble Group, the team first launched a tutoring app, then expanded into student records and a full UCL Medical School Curriculum Map with role-based access controls and integrations like Microsoft 365, Sendgrid, and Google Analytics. The platform now supports 12,000 users, speeds up changes from weeks or months to days, and has even become a new revenue stream as UCL Med School resells the Curriculum Map as SaaS to other universities worldwide.
