Case Study: Red Wing Shoes achieves unified inventory visibility and a consistent omnichannel experience with BTM Global (Oracle Retail Xstore)

A BTM Global Case Study

Preview of the Red Wing Shoes Case Study

Global retailer improves integration across retail environments for enhanced associate and omnichannel customer experience

Red Wing Shoes, a global footwear retailer, was running a 15-year-old custom POS on obsolete hardware that lacked store-level inventory visibility, inter-store transfers and support for a loyalty program. To modernize hundreds of retail stores, outlets, independent dealers and over 100 mobile truck stores, Red Wing Shoes selected BTM Global to implement Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service and provide development, stabilization and integration services.

BTM Global implemented and stabilized Oracle Retail Xstore POS, integrated it with legacy systems, delivered custom development for unique dealer and mobile-truck needs, and provided ongoing lifecycle support. As a result, Red Wing Shoes gained a unified view of inventory and customer data, near real-time sales reporting, enabled inter-store transfers and loyalty programs, and achieved shorter new-associate onboarding (three days or less); the partnership with BTM Global has continued to expand to EMV, data-driven offers and tighter online–in-store integration.
