SVM Europe, a sister company of the US-based gift card provider SVM LP, needed to support rapid growth while keeping its small-business culture and core values intact. The company also wanted stronger information protection, better internal structure, and a way to meet growing tender requirements for ISO/IEC 27001, especially as it handled prepaid solutions such as gift cards, vouchers, e-codes, and reward codes. BSI worked with SVM Europe on its ISO/IEC 27001 information security certification journey.

BSI helped SVM Europe implement an information security management system over the course of a year, including gap analysis, stage 1 audit support, and internal auditor training for key staff. The result was stronger organizational alignment, clearer policies and responsibilities, less downtime, improved confidence in security processes, and better ability to win tenders. SVM Europe also moved from having no risk register to a formal system for identifying and managing information risk, while gaining improved brand reputation and PR coverage.
