A BSI Case Study
Storm Copper Components, a manufacturer of custom copper connectors in Tennessee, already had an internal quality management system but needed third-party certification to support supplier qualification and strengthen its position in the market. The company wanted to complete its long-delayed ISO 9001 effort, improve customer-facing processes, and become a preferred supplier.
BSI audited Storm Copper Components’ quality management system and certified it to ISO 9001:2008, helping the company align its procedures, clarify responsibilities, and improve continual improvement efforts. With BSI’s support, Storm improved on-time delivery by about 10–15% to an 80–85% rate and raised customer satisfaction from 4.17 to 4.85 out of 5.00, while also reducing ambiguity across its operations.
