Case Study: HP achieves CSA STAR Certification with BSI

One of the World’s Largest IT Companies is Using CSA STAR Certification to Provide Security Assurance to Its Public Sector Customers

HP, one of the world’s largest IT companies, needed to demonstrate strong cloud security and reassure public sector customers for its Enterprise Cloud Services for Government (ECS-G) and HP Public Cloud offering. Working with BSI, HP aimed to differentiate its cloud service, support future growth, and meet the security expectations of government clients.

BSI helped HP achieve ISO/IEC 27001 certification and pilot the CSA STAR Certification using the Cloud Security Alliance Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM). After a combined audit, HP successfully earned CSA STAR Certification at Silver Level with no non-conformities in ISO/IEC 27001, giving HP independent security assurance, industry-leading visibility, and a stronger competitive position for its UK Government cloud services.
