Micro Focus, one of the world’s largest pure-play software companies, needed to strengthen information security across its Professional Services Global Delivery Centre in India, including staff working both onsite and offshore. The challenge was to ensure consistent protection of sensitive and confidential information while meeting ISO/IEC 27001 requirements. BSI supported the organization with ISO/IEC 27001 information security management system certification and pre-assessment guidance.

BSI helped Micro Focus implement and institutionalize onsite security controls covering NDAs, mandatory training, access control, incident reporting, business continuity, and compliance procedures. As a result, Micro Focus reported improved awareness of information security among onsite staff and successful ISO/IEC 27001:2013 re-certification in July 2016 for a three-year period through 2019, demonstrating continued compliance and stronger governance.
