Worldpay, a global payment processing leader, needed to continually prove the highest standards of security, reliability, and business resilience as it expanded across markets and handled sensitive payment data. Working with BSI, the company set out to benchmark and strengthen its information resilience through recognized standards, including ISO 22301 for business continuity, ISO/IEC 27001 for information security, and ISO 27031 for IT disaster recovery and incident management.
BSI supported Worldpay with gap analyses, pre-audit inspections, and a bespoke audit approach for ISO 27031, helping the company roll out certifications across its global technology hubs. The result was a more systematic resilience framework, stronger protection of sensitive data, and greater reassurance for customers, while also creating competitive advantage; Worldpay processes 31 million transactions a day, serves over 400,000 customers in 146 countries, and says its certifications help it win business by proving it is “best in class.”
