How Fredrickson Has Reduced Third Party Scrutiny and Protected Its Reputation With ISO 27001 Certification

Fredrickson International, a UK debt collection agency with more than 300 staff, needed a stronger way to manage growing information security risk and reassure highly regulated clients and public-sector customers. As scrutiny increased across its industry, the company wanted independent verification of its information security policies and procedures to help win business, meet pre-qualification requirements, and build trust. Fredrickson chose BSI to support its ISO 27001 Information Security Management certification journey.

BSI helped Fredrickson carry out a gap analysis, tighten existing controls, and embed the standard across all three sites through an information security committee, staff training, poster campaigns, and a shared document repository. The result was ISO 27001 certification without de-scoping, giving customers greater confidence in Fredrickson’s security practices and reducing the duration of second-party audits and the man hours needed to complete IT security questionnaires. BSI also provided ongoing guidance through regular assessment visits, helping Fredrickson maintain continual improvement and strengthen awareness across the organization.
