Capgemini, a global IT services and technology consulting leader, faced a fragmented certification landscape across its Cloud Infrastructure Services business, with separate country-level ISO certifications creating inconsistency and complexity for global delivery. Working with BSI, it sought to consolidate its quality and IT service management systems under single global certifications, specifically ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 20000-1.
BSI helped Capgemini implement a global management system platform called Global InfraWay and transition multiple local certificates into single global certifications. The result was greater standardization, fewer errors, improved resilience and customer confidence, plus a more cost-effective management system footprint; Capgemini also reported around 40% savings on annual certification costs.
