HCP is Using BSI Certification to ISO 55001 to Show It Manages Physical Assets Efficiently for Its Clients

HCP, a specialist in intelligent management of infrastructure and related corporate assets, needed a way to prove it was managing client assets efficiently and in line with international best practice. To support its goal of building a new integrated Business Management System and improving asset management across its PPP and PFI projects, it turned to BSI certification to ISO 55001.

BSI provided an independent gap analysis, guidance, training, and certification support, helping HCP align its documentation and processes to ISO 55001 requirements. HCP became the first asset management specialist to achieve ISO 55001 certification in February 2016, gaining stronger controls, improved lifecycle planning, greater innovation, and increased client confidence, with BSI’s ongoing assessments reinforcing continual improvement and competitive advantage.
